Introduction

Clean Energy Start-up focused on providing market based energy solutions to people living in the developing world seeks an environmentally conscious rock star to join our management team and lead our sales and distribution efforts. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and traits:


Fonctions

- Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for distributors and sales agents in support of national objectives.

- Meets sales goals and financial objectives by forecasting sales requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

- Maintains and expands customer base by counseling sales agents and distributors; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.

- Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.

- Accomplishes sales and human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining sales staff ; communicating job and results expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.

- Achieves sales goals and operational objectives by developing sales and distributions strategies; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems related to sales; completing audits; identifying trends; determining sales and distribution system improvements.

- Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.


Qualifications Requises



- Deep understanding of the market, culture and context of Haiti

- At least 3 years of experience in managing market based programs and services designed for consumers in developing countries (bottom of the pyramid)

- Experience with both “above the line” and “below the line” marketing techniques and strategies

- Good understanding of and the ability to conceive and implement adapted “last mile distribution” strategies

- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Haitian Creole and French required and English is highly desirable

- Willingness to work on a performance based management system

- Ability to plan and implement distribution and sales strategies and programs for the target market

- Possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales performance and market trends information.

- Proven ability to motivate and lead a sales team

- A Bachelor or higher degree in marketing or business studies is preferred; or a minimum of 7 years of related experience with trainings in marketing and/or operations.

- Proficiency in MS Office suite is required

- A valid driver’s license is a plus

- Good presentation skills

- Ability to work in team and independently

- Ability to work well under pressure

- Be result driven

- Be an energetic, creative, tenacious and out of the box thinker

- Be detailed oriented


Conditions particulières

Salary (+ commission) commensurate with experience
Candidate(s) will be hired on a 3 month trial period with potential for renewal based on performance.
