Safety, Environment, Health Coordinator

Responsible for all safety of employees and safety information to the company’s consumers; Coordinates all activities relating to required and reasonable environmental consideration a) On Safety matters: • Keeps up to date on proper electric utility safety practices for employees and the general public
• Develops training manual and procedures for outside employees and for inside employees;
• Monitors specific safety procedures of line crews to assure they are using proper equipment and following company’s safety practices; coordinates regular and frequent training for employees;
• Develops and administers safety information to consumers and general public
• Investigates all employee lost time accidents;
• Responsible for proper recording of accidents, including reporting to proper authorities as needed; • Assures a regular safety report is prepared and kept up to date.
b) Environmental:
• Keeps up to date on all required environmental laws and regulations;
• Assures PPSELD adheres to environmental laws and regulations;
• Informs the Administration/Finance Manager promptly when environmental violations are known: • Informs consumers and the public as appropriate of environmental laws and considerations company is taking c) Health: • Overall responsibility to assure company follows applicable health laws and regulations; • Keeps employees informed of proper health practices. Participates in educational training and conferences as needed to improve knowledge in job related areas;

Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Degree required; High Quality Technician will also be considered; Two years or more work in safety or environmental fields is also preferred.
In addition, moderate computer skills is highly desirable
a)

Fluent in creole. French and Spanish must be understood and English is a plus.limited travelling with company service territory; moderate computer skills with primary ability to input information and bring up reports for review.

Willing and able to commute to Industrial Park of Caracol, North-East, Haiti
