Introduction
Haitian Red Cross in collaboration with American Red Cross is looking for a Senior Community Coordinator / LAMIKA.
Objectif: The Senior Community Coordinator, under direct supervision of the Pillar Manager, will be responsible to ensure coordination and appropriate integration of community mobilization and communications that is effective and efficient implementation; building capacity of Community-Based Organisation’s and leadership, supporting all LAMIKA community based activities including Social Empowerment, Economic Renewal and Physical Renewal.
The Sr. Community Coordinator will be a highly motivated and proactive individual, who is able to work both independently as a team member and under supervision as well as showing flexibility in meeting the various tasks required by this position.

II-.Specific Responsabilities.
The Senior Community Coordinator’s position over sees a unit that serves as the entry and communications experts to engage the community. The Senior Community Coordinator’s responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Effectively provide results based management leadership and supervise 8 field staff and coordinate with 18 other field staff, this includes field level, demonstrating best practice.
Routinely engage leaders, prepare messaging, lead and prepare multiple teams for daily communications.
Oversee the creation of tools and materials for community capacity building, communications, mobilization and implementation of CBO and Civil Society Leadership building.
At a community level, provide introduction and communications for the advancement of multiple teams, functioning at a field level.
Coordinate, collaborate and plan complicated large scale community interactions.
Understand the concepts of mitigation and communications.
Create monthly work plans, responsible for reporting in a timely, clear and concise manner
Ensure effective coordination actions amongst the field staff across the program.
Support in strengthening coordination and collaboration amongst CBOs, HRC Volunteers, Branch, and local governmental agencies for effective overall coordination and visibility.
Ensure the Program Manager is fully briefed.
Qualifications Requises
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in community based capacity building and mobilizing program, building the capacity of community leaders, CBO, local officials, at least 5 years working experience with international organization.
Bachelor ’s degree in social sciences or community developments
Proven managerial experience through prior work in capacity building and community based programs with a heavy mobilization component
Experience working in urban settings
Excellent expertise in leadership and CBO capacity building with an expert knowledge in community conflict mitigation and resolution
Excellent knowledge of community messaging, conflict mitigation
Excellent knowledge of the Haitian government institutions, local and municipal governance system
