Fonctions
To launch the Digicel brand and key messages to media across Haiti, to facilitate controlled and consolidated corporate and consumer communications across the Group, and to develop innovative communications and public relations programmes and initiatives to increase marketplace exposure that support key company goals and objectives.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Drive innovative and effective public relations activities in Haiti that support company initiatives
• Develop a PR strategy for Digicel Haiti
• Develop and implement PR plans/strategies for Digicel Haiti
• Serve as a spokesperson for Digicel Haiti and respond to media queries
• Ensure corporate communications protocol is adhered to in the Haiti business
• Co-ordinate with all Digicel internal and external departments and agencies in Haiti
• Media relations duties include: identifying story opportunities within Digicel that promote key strategic objectives and product launches, develop good relationships with the media, facilitate media visits, respond to media queries, develop media releases and statements, approval of media releases
• Setting up relevant interviews, speaking engagements and managing PR opportunities
• Maintain Digicel Haiti corporate website
• Keep CEO and Directors informed of PR related activities and issue management
• Facilitate the effective two-way flow of public relations relevant information in Digicel Haiti
Qualifications Requises
• Minimum of 6 years experience in public relations role
• Primary degree in a communications related discipline
• Relevant post graduate public relations qualification
• Must be a creative thinker, have strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills with a proven ability to write in a variety of formats and for diverse audiences
• The ability to meet objectives within deadlines
• Strong Commercial acumen
• Demonstrate an ability to handle multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities
• Experience of working in an international context
