Fundraising & Marketing Officer
Position based in Port-au-Prince
Fonctions
Job profile
Main purpose: To maximize generation of funds to support program work
• Identify and research potential funding opportunities in country, overseas and especially in the US
• Develop proposals for projects that could attract new funding
• Develop core generic trust proposals for each programme that requires funding
• Building relationships with other INGOs for consortium fundraising
• Provision of timely and accurate information to donors/funders, and other stakeholders as per existing agreements/MoUs or protocol
• Development and implementation of donor management information system and Knowledge management system
• Liaising with other units and staff to ensure capture of finance data and adherence to project reporting timelines and requirements
• Produced detailed annual action plans on specific areas of responsibility outlined above, identifying areas for growth and development and outlining measurable objectives
Qualifications Requises
Skills and Competencies
• Fluent in English, French and creole (Spanish is a plus)
• Excellent written skills with the ability to produce concise and creative proposals
• High standard of computer literacy (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook and the Internet)
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Demonstrable ability to plan and prioritise own workload with minimum supervision
• Excellent communication skills required to build relationships with potential donors
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and work well under pressure
• Ability to understand and generate budgets
• Ability to plan ahead and work within agreed timeframes
• Ability and willingness to travel for work
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as required
Experience
• At least 3 years experience in fundraising for INGO
• Proven record of successful applications for substantial funding from Trusts and other grant-making bodies
