New International Construction Firm in Haiti wants to recruit an Accountant –Junior

Role (Main Purpose):

Responsible for all accounts payable, subcontract payable, bank and cash functions and duties.

Translation of accounting documents from French to English.






Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Accounts payable checking and input into accounting software
• Preparation of cheques
• Filing and Administration of Payables.
• Statement reconciliation
• Preparation of information to external and internal auditors.
• COINS user. – Accounting Software
• Weekly cash management
• Awareness of exchange rate impacts (where applicable)
• Ad-hoc reporting for senior management.
• Ensuring compliance of internal controls.
• Translation of accounting documents from French to English
• Prepare General Ledger Journals
• Responsible for petty cash expenditure records

Technical Competence
• Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• HNC / HND / BTEC or Degree (Accountancy or similar)
• Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) part qualified or CPA part qualified.
• Knowledge and practical understanding of COINS.
