Introduction
New International Construction Firm in Haiti wants to recruit a Quantity Surveyor – Assistant
Fonctions
Role (Main Purpose):
Responsible for providing support to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager regarding commercial and contractual activities.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
• Administration of commercial / contractual requirements.
• Commercial start-up – Assist in the production of cost codes / baseline forecast / cost coded BOQ.
• Manage procurement schedule in line with project programme deliverables.
• Complete Subcontractors requisitions and obtain all necessary approvals.
• Administration of SC Instructions / Variation Orders by completing necessary internal & external documents.
• Enter payment certificates on COINS .
• Compile Subcontract liabilities monthly, for Accounts to process.
• Produce estimates for internal resources, for team to review.
• Liaison with Supply Chain Department to ensure that only the Subcontractors on the approved Supply Chain register are used.
• Raise Early Warning Notices and also obtain agreement in principle of Early Warning Notices.
• Undertake pricing of Change Order and obtain agreement in principle of Change Order.
• Completion of monthly reports in line with KIER CONSTRUCTION financial timetable.
• Assist in the production of VC1 assessment using COINS and accruals.
• Assist in the production and submission Final account agreements (internal & external).

Technical Competence
• BTEC National (Construction related).
• Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of commercial activities.
• Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• Knowledge of COINS
• Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card – Trainee - Red, Technical, Supervisory or Management.
Fluent in English

Stop work if you consider the task to be unsafe or different from the briefing given and report it to your Supervisor.
