Introduction

J/P HRO is a non-profit organization dedicated to help lift the nation of Haiti out of the rubble and give the Haitian people a better life, is seeking experienced professionals for several exciting opportunities as part of its response to the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
The Assistant to the Country Director is responsible for carrying out several tasks and assisting with the day-to-day activities. He/she will assume all personal administrative support to the Country Director, Deputy Country Director and CEO.


Fonctions

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conserve Country Director’s time by preparing letters, databases, expenses reports, presentation, and researching, collecting and analyzing information,
• Assist in the smooth transition between Country Director and Deputy Country Director management of in-country team,
• Sort information, manage files and otherwise keep records effectively and easily accessible though secure,
• Translate different types of documents into and from French, English, Spanish or Creole while maintaining the integrity of the original work,
• Attend meetings when the Country Director is unavailable and provide notes and updates to the Country Director accordingly,
• Meet and Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to Country Director,
• Maintain Country Director’s appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, and travel,
• Manage the Country Director’s calendar by planning and scheduling meetings, travel arrangements and conferences,
• Handle confidential information with discretion and diplomacy,
• Provide high-level administrative support,
• Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications Requises

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, and related job experience
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in administration/secretary

• Fluency in English, French and Creole
• Advanced computer skills (MS Office – especially PowerPoint and Excel as well as Google Docs, Google Calendar and Google Mail)
