Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking an IT Specialist to support its multi-user operating system administration (computers and phones) at the Haiti offices. This position is responsible for maintaining the operation of multi-user operating systems at Habitat's main office in Petion-ville as well as project sites in the field. The position will be based in the Petion-ville office and will require up to 25% travel to the project sites.
Fonctions
Responsibilities include:
*Ensure daily backup and recovery of all Windows NT/Win 2K system software and data including Win 2008/Win7
*Prepare equipment for new staff and collect equipment from departing staff
*Provide relevant IT trainings and orientation for staff
*Maintain offsite storage of back up media
*Maintain daily rapport with users
*Assist users in solving routine, server-level problems
*Provide IT related support on special projects in the office (e.g. Support for Families Served tool)
*Coordinate service needs with outsourced providers for IT network, internet and LAN
*Work with Latin America/Caribbean regional office and US headquarters IT departments to plan hardware and software upgrades to server systems
*Install system and application software and hardware related to server systems
*Develop mechanisms to insure the security and integrity of multi-user computer systems per requirements specified by international headquarters
*Ensure timely vendor support of multi-user computer and phone systems
*Assist with vendor annual renewal including budgeting process
*Consolidate quarterly/annual management reports (Statistical and Financial) for management and grants using Sun Systems report modules, Excel and other needed software
*Assist in providing software email/telephone support to projects/regional offices
*Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications Requises
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
*4+ years of IT experience working with Windows NT environment, technical support and systems administration
*Fluent in English and French/Haitian Creole; Spanish language skills preferred
*Excellent sense of professionalism and customer service
*Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
*Experience working in an international organization, preferably in an NGO
