Introduction

With its new Center for Inclusion, CBM aims to support local disabled people’s organisations in their efforts to further services, rights, and opportunities for persons living with disabilities.


Fonctions

The Coach is responsible for organizing and carrying out capacity building workshops and individual training sessions aimed at strengthening the capacities of local organisations of people with disabilities. He/she will also develop and carry out awareness-raising activities on the rights of persons with disabilities and, jointly with the project manager, oversee and accompany the day-to-day running of the Center.

Tasks:

Capacitiy Building
• Identify training needs of local organizations of people with disabilities
• Organize and implement capacity building workshops on different topics at the Center
• Develop training tools and manuals (on topics such as organizational development, project management, basic accounting, human resources, monitoring and evaluation)
• Provide individual advice and mentoring to organizations at the Center or their office, e.g. to improve internal structures and support efforts in project planning

Sensitization
• Develop awareness-raising materials on disability for different professional groups (e.g. teachers, nurses, drivers)
• Organize and carry out awareness-raising sessions

Center Management
• Supervise together with project manager, the use of the Center
• Develop and update internal rules and procedures ensuring smooth running of the Center when necessary

Monitoring and Evaluation
• Monitor use of resources and equipment
• Assist in the use of equipment when necessary
• Assist in compiling monthly, quarterly and yearly narrative and financial reports as required
• Monitor projects implemented by CBM’s partners when necessary


Qualifications Requises

Professional Profile
• Excellent knowledge in the fields of project management, administration, organisational development, etc.
• Prior experience in facilitating trainings
• Experience in working with local organisations
• Proven good organisational skills
• Being familiar with disability and the rights of persons with disability is an advantage
• French and Creole are mandatory; good working knowledge in English

Personal Profile
• Excellent inter-personal skills
• Team player and good communicator with a proven ability to motivate people
• Flexible and patient, able to adapt approach to needs of the audience
