Haitian Red Cross in collaboration with American Red Cross is looking for a Behavior Change Coordinator.


Fonctions

I-. Objective; The ‘Behavior Change Coordinator’ will be an accomplished behavior-change programming expert, with good experience designing and delivering trainings, conducting behavior-change related formative assessments and with strong reporting skills; a highly motivated and proactive individual who demonstrates flexibility in accomplishing the various tasks required by this position.
II-. : Port-au-Prince with possibility to travel to other American Red Cross involves zones.

II-.Specific Responsibilities.
 In collaboration with Health and DRR unit specialists, contribute to effective design and development of Lamika programs behavior-change strategies and interventions as required, including supporting needed formative research such as behavior-change Barrier Analysis, Doer/Non-doers, and Client satisfaction assessments.
 Oversee necessary adaptation of Health and DRR training modules in the Lamika context including incorporating formative research findings (e.g. from Barrier analysis, and Doer/Non doer assessments findings) into Lamika program training plans.
 Facilitate knowledge and skills building on behavior-change for LAMIKA program staff, volunteers, program partners or affiliates, including taking lead in delivering necessary training workshops, coaching and mentorship as appropriate.
 Contribute to and/or participate in on-going review of program behavior-change strategies and intervention, advising on strengths, gaps, and recommendations for quality improvement.
 Workings jointly with DRR and Health programs team members develop follow-up plans for Lamika behavior change focused interventions.
 Support supervision of behavior-change interventions, including related community-implemented activities.
 Coordinate and collaborate with relevant behavior Change stakeholders or counterparts at national and department levels, including with IFRC and PNS.
 Support fulfillment of Lamika reporting requirements, in a quality and timely manner for all behavior change related components or initiatives¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬, including review of relevant sections of reports, surveys or assessment before final submission to required recipients or users.


Qualifications Requises

III : Requested Qualifications
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social sciences, Community development, Education or Communications.
Having 6 years direct experience providing hands-on technical support in implementing behavior change interventions related to Health and/or DRR programming.
Having at least 3 years working experience with international non-governmental organizations.
Good background in Public Health and/or DRR/DRM /Emergency Management Training.
Experience in people-centered capacity development work, with strong training, facilitation and analytical skills.
Strong organization, leadership skills and t interpersonal relations.
Good report writing and oral presentation skills.
 At least of intermediate level using MS office packages
