IntroductionFonctions
o The incumbent will be responsible for aggressively increasing brand awareness and equity for all brands under his/her portfolio. The position includes developing effective and timely strategies with a view to increasing distribution, accurate budgeting and planning and monitoring marketing activities, gathering, analysing trade information and conducting competitive analysis.
INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
o Reports to the Sales Manager - Grocery Division
o Liaises with all levels of staff including Warehouse
EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
o Maintains a professional, transparent relationship with principals and customers
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
To leverage knowledge of Business, Category and Marketing strategies into actionable Brand plans to deliver against the Company’s Business Objectives.
o To achieve Budget, Profitability and Distribution targets, as defined below:-
- Achieve distribution volumes, sales and profit objectives.
- Establish, develop and maintain close customer relationships with key accounts.
- Visit customers with sales representatives to identify opportunities and translate into executionable programs.
o To build brand awareness through the development and execution of brand programs as per the milestones defined below:-
- Implement and monitor marketing plans, sales and merchandising programs and incentives.
- Manage Advertising and Promotions to ensure optimum marketing efforts.
- Closely and consistently monitor competitor activities and proactively create strategies to counteract same.
- Submit a monthly report to the Management Team to ensure alignment of the defined Brand’s Objectives.
- Manage brand at trade functions.
- Follow brand guidelines to ensure all regulations are followed.
- Create and maintain brand portfolio.
o To lead insight gathering research into consumers and competitive category to secure knowledge that can be utilized to enhance and evolve the brand:-
- Perform ongoing competitive positioning reports.
- Lead market and competitor audits
- Provides trade marketing information and reports on performance and accounts to the management team
To be the most knowledgeable resource in the company as it relates to the brand and champion the brand throughout the organization, with partners and external agencies:-
- Knowledge transfer to Management Team, Sales Representatives and Customers
Qualifications Requises
o A University Degree or equivalent, preferably in Marketing or Management Studies.
o At least one-two years working experience as a Sales Representative in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) organisation, preferably one that has incorporated a trade channel approach in the same or equivalent capacity
o Ability to solve problems creatively and resourcefully
o Good analytical, numerical and problem solving skills
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
o Good command of the English Lanaguage, written and verbal
o Well-organized and attentive to detail
o Strong interpersonal skills/people person as well as negotiation and influencing skills.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skill•
o Intermediate – Advance computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite of applications)
Conditions de travail
Salary will be determined by qualifications and experience but it would be in the range of 2,000 USD a month
