Plan Haiti is seeking a Technical Advisor Education based in the Country office who will work under the supervision of the Program Support Manager.


Fonctions

• Ensure on-ongoing analysis of the education situation of children and young people in communities affected by the earthquake
• Update program plans and designs and ensuring quality and timely implementation
• Monitor program activities and ensure evaluation
• Represent Plan Haiti on education issues at national and regional levels
• Liaise and build partnerships with governmental bodies and other agencies involved in education
• Prepare periodic and progress reports on a timely basis
• Assist with development of grants proposals related to the sector
• Provide technical leadership to internal and external education networks.


Qualifications Requises

• Bachelor degree in Education or related field
• Minimum of 5 years solid experience in leading education and child rights policy and program work in the NGO a must
• Solid knowledge in the area of education and education rights in the international and Haitian context required
• Demonstrated experience of developing and implementing education strategies with a particular focus on strategies to reaching most marginalized groups and girls
• Experience in developing and implementing advocacy campaigns desirable
• Excellent understanding of the Convention of the Rights of the Child and other rights instruments of advantage
• Excellent knowledge and working experience on gender and inclusion
• Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills
• Ability to produce excellent written materials including investigative reports, academic papers and policy documents to a consistently high standard for a range of audiences
• Fluency in French and ability to communicate comfortably in most work situations in English, Spanish an advantage
• Computer literate (Word, Excel, Access).
