Introduction

Primary objective of the job:

Plans, organizes, implements & manages Operational/Marketing/Recharge/Sales & Network Programs for the Region. Managing local Department staff, achieving Pre –Post Paid Sales Targets, maintaining Relationships with key local contacts.Fully accountable for all Regional Revenue.

The Regional Manager has clearly defined & measurable monthly targets based on:

- Subscriber acquisition Pre-paid & Post-paid (i.e. Achieve xx,xxx gross ads per month)
- Creation of Regional Marketing Activity Calendars
- Total Revenue growth (i.e. Drive Key District Penetration by x% per month);
- Top-up revenue growth in Vouchers - Electronic (i.e. Increase top-up in channel by xx% in territory);
- Churn minimization and Retention Strategies (i.e. Keep churn within x% monthly);
- ARPU growth (i.e. Increase regional Customer APPU by xx cent per month).
- Strictly Operate within Regional P& L

Number of Persons managed/ supervised
- Regional headquarters (Retail, Recharge, Technical (IT), Marketing, Sales Managers, Administration & Handset Logistics)

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Developing Regional Sales Strategy
- Responsible for Regional Pre & Post Paid acquisition, retention and revenue generation
- Identifying business corporate & SME segments, needs, competitive analysis, GAP analysis and developing Regional strategies for optimum business/Residential segment growth
- Developing Sub Regional –District growth plans
- Create & implement Local marketing initiatives aimed at optimizing relationships within “local” communities
1. Achieving Business Sales Targets
- Assignment of targets;
- Follow up on sales activity of each Channel Manager
- Establish and maintain relationships with key Regional Dignatories/Influencers
- Implement regional business strategies for customer growth
- Looking towards maximizing Pre Paid Affinity relationships
- Continuously look at ways of increasing Regional ARPU’s
2. Maintaining Relationships with Consumer and Corporate accounts
- Establish clear communication process, including client visits and prompt issue resolution;
- Ensuring the highest level of Regional Consumer client satisfaction;
- Continuous involvement in nurturing Corporate relationships.
3. Operational
- Ensure Regional Operational Processes are fully aligned with Head Office
- Ensure Handset/Sim/Recharge processes are 100% adhered to and reconciled Daily
- Ensure Stock Ordering Processes are in line with Distribution Dept expectations
- Ensure PO processes are fully adhered to
- Ensure Regional Quality Control initiatives are in place to underpin Compliance
4. (Special) focus on affinity sales, for incremental sales and revenue streams
- Supervise all sales functions in the region;
- Provide leadership to regional sales Channels as well as direct supervision & development DR’s;
- Collaborate with a variety of functional business units in Head Office
- Effectively use company tools and technology.
5. Managing local Department
- Assignment of staff duties & managing staff challenges
- Ensure People Management Processes are in place for effective communication and Individual Development purposes
- Monitoring in-house staff activity & field staff activity
- Strict Control actual expenditure vs. budget;
- Play an active role in recruitment, on-boarding and training for new region employees;
- Liaise with other departments for effective team work.
6. Marketing
• Explore and exhaust all opportunities of enhancing Regional Branding
• Secure Key Regional Sponsorships
• Secure exclusive contracts with Key Radio Stations based on “Own the Airwaves”
• Ensure Region has bespoke Plan based on Calendar of Marketing Activities
• Ensure Product Value message are leveraged through all available local media platforms
7. Recharge
• Ensure Population Unit to every POS is 1: 200 ratio
• Ensure every Digicel Customer is no more than 5 mins from a Recharge point
• Ensure Existing POS is visible (Stickers, Falanges)
• Drive Electronic Recharge Top Up within the Region
• Ensure Recharge Distributors are fully synchronized with Sales Acquisition Program
• Ensure a Regional Recharge Plan exists


Qualifications Requises

Academic Qualifications and Experience required for position
- Proven track record of achieving sales objectives by leading & motivating a diverse teams of people;
- 5+ years of Regional sales leadership experience (desired);
- Proven ability to make sound decisions and recommendations;
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, written & verbal.
