Introduction

Primary objective of the job:

The chief executive officer (CEO) serves as the leader of the Foundation and its primary public representative, reporting to the board of directors.
The CEO works in partnership with the board to ensure that the Foundation fulfills its mission and to create strategies that ensure its future success.

Fonctions

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Planning
? Collaborates with the board to define and articulate the Foundation strategies
? Creates annual operating plans that support strategic direction set by the board and correlate with annual operating budgets; submits annual plans to the board for approval
? Develops and monitors strategies for ensuring the long-term financial viability of the organization
? Manpower planning
Management
? Oversees the operation of the Foundation
? Promotes a culture that reflects the Foundation’s values and encourages good performance
? Hires and manages resources of the Foundation in collaboration with the Digicel HR department.
? Provides up-to-date information to board upon request
? Evaluates the Foundation’s and the staff’s performance based on Digicel procedures
? Evaluates potential communities for schools for construction
? Coordinates with Project Manager and prioritizes construction of approved schools.
? Ensures projects are well and safely managed within budget
? Attends and organizes school inaugurations. Develops and implements-with related partners-board approved Teacher Training Programs, for current and future schools.
Financial
? Develops annual budgets that support operating plans and submits budgets for board approval
? Manages the Foundation’s resources within budget guidelines according to approved annual Budget
PR & Communications
? Serves as the primary spokesperson and representative for the Foundation
? Assures that the Foundation and its mission, programs, and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to concerned authorities
? Acts as a liaison between the Foundation and the community, building relationships with peer organizations when appropriate
? Foundation branding and signage
? Media relations – interviews in Haiti – radio and print
? Newsletter
? Annual report
? Photography
? Video where appropriate

Qualifications Requises

? University degree in management, project management or related field
? Work experience in Senior management position – at least 5
? Experience in relevant organization, a plus
