IFRC has a commitment to construct or provide over 9500 transitional shelters throughout Port au Prince and the surrounding provinces. We are in need of highly skilled project Managers and Engineers to supervise staff, beneficiaries and contractors throughout the construction of our shelters.

Under the supervision of the Senior construction Field Supervisor you will need to carry out the following pecific Duties and Responsibilities:
 The mapping specialist need to produce a mapping system for all needed work database as accurate as possible using generally used mapping software (standard use will be GIS).
 Performs observations, compares, and standardizes/adjust mapping database. Computes/converts technical data points into acceptable mapping points. Generate variable presentation on mapping data statistics or graphics.
 Makes field checks with engineer before and after any construction to ensure field measurements meet project specifications/classifications and correctly put into mapping.
 Work side by side with survey specialist to records topographic survey data, operates survey instruments, and performs topographic computations.
 Directs and controls personnel when acting as a mapping team leader.
 Maintain special survey database of all land information.
 Assist in all mapping examination activities and cadastral map presentation and auditing
 Perform other duties as required.
 Reporting:
 Establish a complete mapping data/report/document.
 Coordination:
 Work together with survey specialist to form a datebase of IFRC work sites.
 Computer skills:
 GIS mapping software.
 Ensure effective working relationships with National Society counterparts and leadership.
 Ensure effective working relationship relationships with the Municipal Government responsible for the Zone in which you work, as well as MTPTC (National).

 University degree in civil Engineering, Architecture or other related subjects.
 Microsoft Office and Excel
 AutoCAD experience desired (AutoCAD Land Desktop in specific, AutoCAD in general)
 Pictures editing softwares (Photoshop)
 Other skills:
 Various survey equipment knowledge, especially TOTAL STATION.
Ability to apply topographic and geodetic mapping requirements and standards.
 Experience in Red Cross or other NGO
 Experience in Logistics
 Experience in construction
 Experience in Survey

 Actively work towards the achievement of the Secretariat’s goals.
 Abide by and work in accordance with the Red Cross/Red Crescent principles.
 Perform any other work related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Line Manager.
