Islamic Relief (IR) is a UK based international relief and development charity which envisage a caring world where people unite to respond to the suffering of others, empowering them to fulfil their potential. Working in over 25 countries, Islamic Relief promotes sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and disease. We also respond to disasters and emergencies, helping people in crisis. Islamic Relief has been working in Haiti since the devastating earthquake of 2010. Throughout its disaster response programme in Haiti IR has provided affected communities with shelter, food, non-food items and water and sanitation services. Other services included rubbish collection and cash for work, school reconstruction and supporting vocational training centres. Currently Islamic Relief-Haiti programme is becoming more focused on shelter and school reconstruction.
Funded by the Islamic Development Bank, Islamic Relief will soon start implementing its new school reconstruction project with an aims to reconstruct five schools that have been affected by the earthquake of 2010. We are currently recruiting for a Receptionist position for this project and would like to encourage qualified and enthusiastic professionals to apply.
Fonctions
Job Purpose:
To provide facilitation in office for interdepartmental and external communication through Islamic Relief Information system and provide due facilitation to visitors
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Greet guests coming to Islamic Relief
• Book appointments for the callers where requested
• Book appointment for IR staff outside the organization when requested.
• Receive calls from outside and get them connected to relevant departments and persons.
• Provide necessary information about Islamic Relief to callers
• Maintain the call logs of Islamic Relief
• Note the messages received from outside and communicate to the relevant staff members.
• Keep a record of staff movement outside the office to ensure the security.
• Prepare a record of office consumables and timely inform to relevant staff members to make necessary arrangements for it.
• To ensure the cleanliness and hygienic environment around the office
• Make arrangements for meetings, take minutes and get them reviewed by the relevant participants
• Maintain an effective filing system for record.
• Keep record of all incoming & outgoing mails.
Qualifications Requises
At least Two years of University Education with 1-2 years experience

• Fluent in English, with working knowledge of French and Creole
