SOS CHILDREN VILLAGE is an international non profit organisation that the mission is a loving home for every child. In Haiti, we operate in three departments ( Port-au-Prince; Cap-Haitien- Cayes ). The overall of the programes is to provide support to children and families in Haiti whilst developing longer term sustainable solutions to the comunities.We take actions for children as an independent non-governmental social development organisation.We respect varying religions and cultures.We work in the spirit of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
With the SOS Children's Village concept, our organisation pioneered a family
approach to the long-term care of orphaned and abandoned children.
Fonctions
General Description of the Role:
He/she is the link between sponsors, the national association and the Sponsorship Office in Costa-Rica. He/she is responsible for the administration, coordination and supervision of the sponsorship programme, following the regulations, policies and procedures established by the international guidelines and the SOS International Sponsorship Services Manual. He/she is responsible for the translation, submission, reception and custody of correspondence and information of sponsors, children and youths.

The Sponsorship Coordinator will be responsible for supporting all relationship between donors and beficiaries in Haiti. The position will include elements of programming, donor liaison, reporting and administration. It will involve working under the supervision of the Programs Support Coordinator, working closely with the national Director, village’s Directors as well as all program managers, Youth communities, and Finance.
Qualifications Requises
Master degree or Bachelor degree from a recognized University

Person Specifications (Requirements):
• Essential: Fluency in French and English,
• Minimum of two year’s work experience.
• Experience of working with NGOs or other assistance agencies or Development programmes preferably sponsorship programmes.
• Demonstrated capability in capacity building.
• Previous experience and knowledge of mainstreaming issues preferable.
• Demonstrated skills in information management and report writing.
• Good editorial skills.
• Analytical and strategic planning skills, creative approach to problem solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Flexibility required and ability to adapt to administrative changes of priorities.
Conditions de travail
The sponsorship coordinator will be located at the national office at P-AU-P with some travels in Cap-Haitien and Cayes if is necesary.We work Monday to Friday , from 8ham to 4hpm sometimes until 5hpm.
