Introduction
J/P HRO is a non-profit organization dedicated to help lift the nation of Haiti out of the rubble and give the Haitian people a better life, is seeking experienced professionals for several exciting opportunities as part of its response to the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for carrying out various Human Resources tasks and assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR department. S/he will assume specific tasks in the Human Resources Department including Recruitment and Selection, Performance Management and Data Management and Reporting. S/he will provide administrative support services to the HR Manager and other departments Managers on HR related matters.
Fonctions
• Recruitment and Selection of high calibre professionals to fill vacant positions as requested by hiring managers ensuring that all Human Resources policies are strictly adhered to.
• Conduct Meeting with Hiring Manager to identify essential requirements for vacant position.
• Posting of vacant posts on relevant media as per Recruitment and Selection Policy
• Shortlist and Process Resumes from applications and internal database.
• Conduct phone screening of all shortlisted candidates and advise hiring Manager of results with Human Resources Recommendation.
Performance Management
• Monitor the End of Probation process ; notifying heads of department when end of probation evaluations are due.
• Notify the Employee of successful end of probation
• Monitor Yearly Performance Appraisal for Staff.
Administration
• Create and Maintain files for new employees
• Payroll administration- Compile payroll file for use by the Human Resources Manager in preparation for the International payroll
• Leave Administration- Manage Leave accrual for new International staff; recording and maintaining documentation of leave taken
• Contract Administration- Monitor contract start and end dates for International staff ; ensuring managers are notified of contracts ending and that renewals are done promptly.
Data Management and Reporting
• Provide weekly and monthly Human Resources statistics for reporting purposes
Industrial / Employee Relations
• Advice Managers on disciplinary processes
• Counsel employees on disciplinary issues
• Facilitate legal separation where appropriate ensuring all relevant correspondence is done timely.
Qualifications Requises
Human Resources or Business Administration degree
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Human Resources
- Knowledge of Haitian Labor Law is essential
- Fluency in English, French and Creole
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office), Internet
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent decision-making skills
- Organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Good understanding of administrative and technical aspects of HR, including confidentiality, HR systems, procedures, and recruitment
- Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to communicate effectively with people from different walks of life
