Introduction

International Lifeline Fund (ILF) is an innovative humanitarian development organization, dedicated to provide clean drinking water and fuel-efficient cooking techniques to habitants in Kenya, Uganda and Haiti. ILF embraces an entrepreneurial spirit, a bottom-up philosophy to development, and a flexible, low-cost operational approach. ILF’s vision is a world, in which no one is forced to drink contaminated water or expose themselves, their family, and their environment to the harms associated with cooking on an open fire. The Environment (Fuel Efficient Stove) Production Officer is primarily responsible for managing Fuel Efficient Stove production, stove distribution and stove manufacturing.


Fonctions

Key Responsibilities:
• Sourcing and procuring raw materials for the production of Fuel efficient stoves
• Contributing to stove design and testing of stove models
• Assist with sourcing the best Haitian entities for variety of tasks such as production or tools to optimize production
• Providing technical oversight on production with quality control
• Assure on deliverables with highest quality
• Oversight and management of casual staff at the stove making factory including metal fabricators , drivers, etc..
• Assigning daily tasks and monitoring worker performance at the stove production center
• Maintaining inventory of raw materials, tools and equipment at the stove production center
• Writing contracts and facilitating payments for work undertaken at the stove Production center
• Identifying and facilitating technical training for metal fabricators in relevant aspects of stove production
• Ensure regular and appropriate monitoring and record keeping is carried out for production of stoves
• Maintaining a clean environment at the stove production site
• Providing detailed weekly and monthly reports to the Program Coordinator on activities completed and outcomes achieved
• Providing budget estimates and planning for relevant program purchases
• Providing accountability for program purchases in the form of invoices, receipts and agreements
• Contributing to the design and direction of the ILF environment program in Haiti


Qualifications Requises

• College degree in engineering, environmental studies, or other relevant programs
• French required
• Experience in product development, production, and manufacturing
• Knowledge of Office Word and Excel
• Experience and knowledge working with Fuel-Efficient stoves production, creation of new FES models and FES testing preferred
