Fonctions

CHF is seeking experienced Infrastructure Team Lead (ITL) for an anticipated housing reconstruction project in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This project will assist residents of selected Port-au-Prince neighborhoods severely affected by the earthquake to return to their communities by supporting them to repair and/or reconstruct their homes and improve basic community infrastructure.

The ITL, reporting to the Technical Director, will be responsible for leading the program’s planning, design, and implementation team. The ITL will be responsible for identifying key disaster risk reduction activities in identified neighborhoods, from drainage, canal masonry, soil retention walls, to foot paths, latrine pits, and other priority infrastructure.

Furthermore, the ITL will participate in any mapping or planning exercise conducted by the mobilization team for a given neighborhood.

The ITL will work with the contracting team to ensure that all work is procured as per World Bank regulations, by providing the necessary designs and documents for a fair and open bidding process.

Finally, the ITL will be responsible for liaising with the necessary government counterparts such as the engineering team of the Mayor’s office as well as the Ministry of Public Works.


Qualifications Requises

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or another relevant field;
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale infrastructure construction projects, repairing and rebuilding infrastructure after natural disasters needed;
• Experience in working in challenging environments;
• Fluency in French required; Haitian Creole is a plus.
• Haitian citizens are encouraged to apply.
