Fonctions
CHF is seeking an experienced Housing Team Lead (HTL) for an anticipated housing reconstruction project in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This project will assist residents of selected Port-au-Prince neighborhoods severely affected by the earthquake to return to their communities by supporting them to repair and/or reconstruct their homes and improve basic community infrastructure. The HTL will be responsible for the supply chain of materials, organization of masons, carpenters and work teams, and the final construction of up to 500 new homes. These homes will be within complex neighborhoods with various constraints that must be addressed to ensure the safe construction of the homes.
The HTL will also lead a team of engineers to ensure the periodic assessment of the building process, while working with the necessary government counterparts to ensure standards are met. The HTL will report to the Technical Director.
Qualifications Requises
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
• Prior experience managing shelter and housing construction projects in response to natural disaster is required.
• Knowledge of pre-fab and other types of modular housing needed.
• Fluency in French required; Haitian Creole a plus.
• Experience in working in challenging environments.
• Haitian citizens are encouraged to apply.
