Development Innovations Group (DIG) is a private, international firm committed to fostering innovative solutions in the fields of financial services for the poor, urban and community services, and fund management. With the ECAP Project in Haiti, DIG brings qualified professionals of the Haitian diaspora specialized in urban planning, architecture and engineering to work on priorities of the national reconstruction with the national government ministries and municipalities.

• Responsible for verbal and written technical interpretations/ translations between English, French, and Creole on matters of urban planning, construction, architecture, civil & structural engineering, in a variety of situations, including translation for/with:
a)ECAP program staff, advisers and consultants.
b)Government officials
c)Community members
d)NGO representatives
e)Researchers
f)Industry executives
g)Other individuals as required
• Taking comprehensive notes of meetings/conversations.
• Travel may be required for activities in other parts of Haiti and require overnight stays.

• Fluency in written and spoken English, French and Creole required
• Experience with technical interpretations related to planning, architecture, engineering, economics, etc.
• Good communication skills with the ability to make a clear presentation in public.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to complete tasks on a deadline.
• Ability to work cooperatively with a team
• An understanding of humanitarian principles and development ethics.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other MSOffice applications.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday / 08:00 am - 04:30 pm
