Fonctions
Primary objective of the job:
Configuration Management for BSS and UTRAN, integration of NodeBs, BTSs, BSC, RNCs, Operation and maintenance of Ericsson RNCs and BSCs, Evaluation of BSC and RNC performance, statistics monitoring, interface and node dimensioning/configuration
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Radio Network Configuration Management, Data Transcript generation and loading in Ericsson RNCs/BSC (e.g. radio parameter changes, NodeB & BTS integration/reconfiguration/expansion, re-homings, RNC/BSC configuration/exchange data, etc)
• Handling of BSS/RNS operational activities for BSCs/RNCs (e.g. backups, health checks, preventive maintenance, SW updates, CSR handling, RNC/BSC troubleshooting, second level of NodeB/BTS support).
• Acceptance Testing & integration of new RNCs/BSCs, HW expansions and reconfigurations
• Testing (e2e), evaluation and rollout of UTRAN/BSS functionalities and SW releases.
• BSS/RNS network design in cooperation with other teams. RNC/BSC platform and interfaces dimensioning, identification of necessary network/node changes for network improvement in terms of new nodes or upgrade/expansions on existing nodes.
• Monitoring of BSS/UTRAN, GPRS & Core network performance, analysis of statistics, optimization of network performance & resource allocation
Qualifications Requises
• University degree on engineering Computer engineering/ telecommunications or equivalent.
• Knowledge in IP, GSM and UMTS
• Working experience in BSS or UTRAN is considered a plus
