Introduction
The Pipeline manager will ensure that all consigments arriving into the country to the Haitian Red Cross, International Federation of the Red Cross, and PNS’s are cleared from Customs in a timely manner following Haitian Laws and IFRC procedures
Fonctions
1. Implement and maintain Federation standard practices in logistics procedures.
2. Serve as in-country mobilization and pipeline focal point.
3. Plan and execute Customs clearing of goods with the Haitian Red Cross logistics counterpart and broker team members.
4. Liaise and coordinate with the warehouse managers for the reception of cargo.
5. Send the Goods Received Notes (GRN) in a timely manner to the Regional Logistics Unit (RLU), Geneva, Program Managers and Haiti Procurement accordingly.
6. Keep a record of all charges and fees associated with each consigment and provide documentation in order to invoice the program or PNS’s.
7. Keep the requesters informed on the status of the consignments.
8. Ensure a good working relationship with RLU and Geneva.
9. Keep consignment files as per Federation standards.
10. Provide timely advice and technical support on Pipeline issues to other departments, units and services within the delegation.
11. Produce accurate weekly reports and or upon request from Logistics Coordinator and Line Manager.
12. Produce regular, timely and accurate narrative and financial reports for the International Federation
Qualifications Requises
Bachelor’s degree in Management/
Basic Training Course for delegates or equivalent knowledge
Professional qualification in Logistics/ Pipeline, Supply chain or equivalent experience.
8 years professional experience in transportation, customs clearance, ect Managing and supporting the broker team
Working for the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement
Working for a humanitarian aid organization in a developing country
Proficient in basic computer software programmes (Microsoft Office, Windows, spreadsheets)
Skills in training and developing staff
Advanced level of English, written and spoken.
