Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking qualified Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officers to conduct regular field-level oversight of the implementation of program activities as part of a grant from the Canadian International Development Agency. Utilizing standard tools, they establish the extent to which activities, schedules and outputs/performance indicators are proceeding according to plan so that timely action can be taken to make corrections as discrepancies or shortfalls are identified. The officers are responsible for writing regular reports on all activities using design, planning, monitoring and evaluation standard forms and protocols, and working closely with project managers to address and follow-up on any shortfalls or problems encountered. This position requires up to 50% travel within Haiti to various project sites, and is based in Port-au-Prince.

*Directly assess the general situation of internally displaced persons, potential beneficiaries and communities.
*Conduct regular field monitoring activities to ensure implementation of program activities and further HFHI accountability to donors, partners, beneficiaries and other relevant stakeholders.
*Check accuracy and completeness of data collected and entered into database. Perform basic data cleaning. Verify monthly indicators in collaboration with field teams.
*Aid in implementing all aspects of the M&E Plans for various projects.
*Ensure that all field staff have a clear understanding of Habitat's indicators including definitions, targets, data collection sources, and the data collection cycle.
*Occasionally oversee short-term enumerators contracted to assist with data collection and surveys.
*Oversee use of the M&E database within the field office including the data entry process, security of data, and analysis of data;
*Conduct evaluation visits to “sum up” achievements and measure project effectiveness at the end of or completion of the project.
*Work closely within the Program Integration Department and with Haiti HRC's in order to enter project and design, planning, monitoring and evaluation related field data to support assessment, monitoring and evaluation activities.
*Assist with data collection and beneficiary selection in the field as required.
*Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications Requises

*Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
*1-2 years of related experience, including monitoring and evaluation experience as well as training
*Fluency in French and Haitian Kreyol
*Ability to understand written and spoken English
*Good interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
*Very detail oriented and thorough
*Computer proficiency and typing skills (30 wpm minimum)
*Experience with Excel and data management programs
*Ability to travel up to 50% within Haiti
