Fonctions

DAI seeks candidates for positions on a USAID funded project anticipated in Haiti to 1) improve the design, manufacturing and distribution of biomass cookstoves, 2) encourage street food vendors, schools and orphanages to convert to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG); and 3) achieve market and legal reform to support the development of Haiti’s LPG industry.
Program Director – The Program Director will provide technical guidance, link the project to counterpart institutions, develop work plans, oversee implementation, create monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems, and maintain contact with the funder.


Qualifications Requises

Relevant Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of experience implementing and managing Improved Cooking Technology (ICT) programs in developing countries, ideally donor-funded
• Demonstrated program leadership skills with at least 5 years of management experience
• Experience in supply chain distribution preferred, in Haiti ideal
• Strong knowledge of the barriers and opportunities for expanding the market for LPG and improved biomass cookstoves
• Carbon finance expertise; energy market experience preferred
• Fluency in English and French required, Creole preferred.
• Willingness to live in Port-au-Prince

In addition, we are seeking applicants with experience in the following areas:
• Charcoal and LPG cookstove design, manufacturing, and distribution
• Regulatory reform, particularly with respect to the LPG industry
• Value chain analysis, particular with respect to charcoal and LPG cookstoves
• Adult education, with experience in employment retraining in the energy sector
