Fonctions
The Project Director (PD) will be responsible for all program-related activities for a large-scale U.S. Government-funded faith-based HIV prevention, care and treatment project in Haiti to a network of faith based hospitals. The PD will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and monitoring and evaluation of all clinical and non-clinical activities as designed in the program’s technical strategy, targets and objectives. The Project Director will also be responsible for liaising with donors and partners, and the network of sites.
Responsibilities
• Provide overall strategic leadership and management for the program
• Effectively manage all project staff and consultants
• Ensure timely submission of all deliverables as outlined in the project work plan and through donor requirements.
• Assure quality control of program activities, and ensure that responsible staff are meeting goals and targets
• Prepare and review work plans, progress reports and financial, logistical and other documents as necessary
• Provide technical expertise in all aspects of HIV/AIDS and Health Systems Strengthening as relevant to the project
• Serve as principal liaison with donor, health facilities and country partners to exchange information and develop professional relationships
• Make verbal or written presentations as requested
Qualifications Requises
• M.D. and/or M.P.H. required
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant and progressive work experience in Haiti or regions of Africa with a similar development context
• Willing to be accountable for project results including progress against work plan, financial compliance, and quality-oriented management/communications among sub-partners and staff.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible supervisory work experience, preferably on US Government funded projects of similar size and scope
• High level knowledge of public health and HIV/AIDS
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Fluency in English, Creole and French is required
