WASH MANAGER FOR ITS JACMEL OPERATIONS / Ref. JC-048 (Temporary Contract)

Job Summary :
To manage the water, sanitation & hygiene projects of the Save the Children Jacmel field office responding to earthquake and cholera emergencies. The post has responsibility for WASH project design, management, innovation, coordination, capacity building, M&E, financial control, and reporting
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
SC global and country strategy and positioning for WASH program
• Contribute to SCH WASH strategic and operational plans.
• Develop Jacmel FO WASH operational plans in line with country-wide plans.
• Attend meetings at CO or other coordination meetings as needed and share information as appropriate at local level – WASH cluster or similar
• Inform and refer to technical advisors for technical knowledge and inputs.
• Support country/agency advocacy initiatives as needed
• Participate in cross-functional teams as required, including child participation and gender issues

. Grant management and narrative and budget reporting on grants
. Resource mobilization
Qualifications Requises
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Candidates should have a suitable qualification in any discipline relating to WASH which might include, but is not limited to, Civil or Water Supply Engineering;
• Ten years general work experience ;
• A minimum of five years of direct experience of implementing WASH projects, including; community, urban and school hygiene promotion, behaviour change programs, and technical water and sanitation activities in developing countries is required;
• Assessment, analytical and planning skills, and oral and written reporting skills are required;
• Diplomacy, tact, negotiating, training/counterpart development skills are required;
• Good written and spoken French and English are essential.
