Introduction
1-INTRODUCTION
Haitian Education & Leadership Program (HELP) is an International Non-Governmental Organization; we launched our operations in 1997. HELP’s mission is to create, through merit and needs based scholarships, a community of young professionals and leaders who will promote a more just society in Haiti
2- OBJECTIVES
The Alumni Affairs Coordinator will plan, organize and manage the all alumni activities with the goal of creating a strong alumni group with actively participates in HELP. He/she will work with a team, composed of the Students Services office, the Advising office, the ACM office and the Direction
Fonctions
3 –RESPONSIBILITIES
The Alumni Affairs Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:
Alumni coordination
Develop, implement, and evaluate a strategy to secure increased alumni participation in HELP activities as well as financial and in-kind contributions
Develop an alumni network
Organize quarterly meetings with the alumni
Plan & organize all the alumni activities
Plan, manage, direct and evaluate relationship with Alumni, parents, and other constituencies
Meet with student groups to introduce them to Alumni Association activities and encourage their participation in alumni events
Ensure that database and alumni records are current; maintain integrity of the system and ensure that it is being utilized in an efficient and effective manner
Sensitize the alumni about the necessity for contribution
Encourage the alumni to participate in HELP activities like orientation, giving lectures and sharing their experiences with current students
Career services management
Assist students and graduates with job placement
Participate in student orientation session
Schedule and promote career fairs and related activities, including workshops and seminars for students and graduates
Survey graduates and employers regularly
Assist the country director with selecting/coordinating student internship sites and setting up required meetings, including pre-internship sessions
Monitor and prepare intern attendance reports and forms
Prepare students for specific careers through extensive career development
Develop professional employment opportunities for graduates
Maintain career development resources
Researches career and hiring trends
4- COMPETENCIES
Good understanding of HELP and Haitian culture
Good communication and interpersonal skills. Able to communicate the potential benefits of a contribution system
Must be creative, detail and goal oriented, possess good problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize
Computer literacy and English

Undergraduate degree in Management, Economics, or other related fields
