• To asses the suitability of sites for the construction of Telecommunication Base Stations and
• To ensure that these are built in accordance to engineering specifications and are completed in a timely and cost effective manner.
• To assess existing sites to determine and effect required civil works repairs to ensure maintenance of sites in accordance with agreed standards
Fonctions
1. Check suitability of site’s physical condition to determine extent of construction required and cost implications
2. Conduct Site Surveys and prepare detailed sketches based on measurements done on site
3. Preparation of cost estimates for civil works for site development and maintenance
4. Procurement of quotations from contractors for various aspects of site works (access road, site leveling etc.)
5. Check accuracy of drawings prepared by Auto CAD Technicians before issuing to external sources (e.g. contractors, land owners, parish councils, NEPA etc.)
6. Supervise construction of new cell sites to ensure sites are built in accordance to specifications and drawings, specifically assessing the level of quality and accuracy
7. Conduct half-yearly inspections of existing sites to assess site conditions and recommend necessary remedial civil works.
8. Conduct start up meeting with contractors, which involve initial setting out of sites and stipulation of conditions, which contractors must adhere to during execution of the works.
9. Lead project teams or be a project team member for unique projects external to normal cell site construction, For example, Underground Fibre Optic Structural Analysis & Grounding Upgrade projects
10. Monitor activities of other Cellular Service Providers under Site sharing Agreements to ensure that construction on shared sites are done in accordance with agreed specifications and drawings.
11. Liaise with JPS personnel regarding provision of power to cell sites, constantly monitoring process.
Qualifications Requises
• BSc/Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction
• Knowledge of Electrical Works
• 2-3 years experience in construction related projects
