1. Under the supervision of the Quantification Specialist, undertake the leading role in identification
and quantification of the anti retroviral medicines (ARVs) for distribution from central stores to to treatment sites.
2. Coordinate with all relevant parties to ensure that the quantification for distribution of needed medicines operates smoothly and that all parties receive the necessary information in a timely
manner.
3. Coordinate with all relevant parties to ensure that the distribution of PEPFAR and CHAI supported ARVs to other programs and projects, if any, follows the best practice of supply chain
management and does not endanger the stock security of ARVs for PEPFAR supported
Treatment sites.
4. Work closely with the Quantification Specialist for all technical issues, especially on
quantification for procurement of HIV/AIDS related commodities.
5. Monitor the medicine stock and usage through reports and under the supervision of the
quantification specialist prepare regular reports on the stock status and forecast usage scenario.
6. Provide advices relating to commodity management into the Standard Operating Procedures
(SOP) development process for centers and structures supported by the program and
for pharmaceutical services of hospitals and health centers providing ART services.
7. Participate in the planning and delivery of commodity management training programs.
8. Develop appropriate technical reports and submit to the Quantification Specialist.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Requises
1. Graduate degree in computer sciences, mathematics, technically oriented field, commodities management, or other health related field such as pharmacy or a combination of education and relevant experience.
2. Experience working with computer spreadsheets such as Excel and Microsoft Office required; ability to use Access or other software data analysis packages desirable.
3. Strong skills and interest in analyzing data; enjoys working with software applications.
4. Any experience in using data for decision making highly desirable.
5. Detail oriented individual, with excellent ability in mathematics.
6. Fluency in French with proficiency in English language, including reading, writing and speaking skills.
7. Occasional travel, up to 25%, may be required.
