Donor Liaison

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Lead in the management of the National Office (NO) strategic partnership with World Vision US (WVUS) in the cultivation of key donor constituencies toward meeting ministry priorities and mutual transformation. Coordinate all aspects of the National Office role in servicing WVUS donors, including flow of communications and donor reporting, building capacity of NO staff and project communities, ensuring positive and predictable Vision Trip experiences, and serving as the key point of contact for WVUS Donor Engagement Support Services.


Qualifications Requises

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Bachelor degree required with preference in communications, or related field of study
2. Experience with non-government organization and understanding of transformational development preferred
3. Comprehend the difference between different types of donors/visitors, and present WV work in a way that is appropriate (contextualized) for each donor segment. For example: a church group, a major donor with a strong faith commitment, a major donor without a strong faith commitment, a corporate donor who may have given cash, GIK, or both, a foundation with specific technical focus
4. Excellent communication and public relations skills with strong English language capability (written and oral), understanding of WVH strategy, and ability to explain transformational development
5. Communicate WV-H relief efforts for the earthquake, and how these efforts may or may not transition towards long term development
6. Technical experience with video and still photography preferred. Ability to capture impact in a photo or short video clip (does not need to be a professional photographer or videographer)
7. Experience with personal computing, email (Lotus Notes) and general office productivity software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) required as well as the ability to create professional presentations, and also able to interact in friendly and informal ways with donors
8. High level of cross-cultural interpersonal skill, personal maturity, and proven ability to collaborate with other departments (sponsorship, CC, operations, logistics, etc) as well as community members and leaders
9. Must be available for significant travel time to projects
10. Ability to learn fast, multitask, balance many diverse responsibilities, pro-actively seek solutions to challenges and work under pressure
11. Represent and speak for nation office/national director
12. Write short, concise email updates that convey impact
13. Independently make a long term action plan for accomplishing all expectations for a given year.
