Fonctions

Job Purpose
The Contracts and Grants Specialist (GS) have important role ensuring effective and sound Contracts and Grants Management (opening meetings, periodic monitoring of expenditure, pre-close out and close out meetings). The GS is responsible for ensuring donor compliance: rules and regulations, timely and accurate donor reporting among others. Also, coordinating with Grant Focal Person (GFP) and budget holders to ensure adequate monitoring of the grants is in place and provide advice as required.
Responsibilities
• Management of the Grant Portfolio assigned for the following important actions:
o Grant Opening Meeting with the key stakeholders
o Supporting GFP in understanding Grant Agreement, Budget and key deliverables

• Ensure timely preparation and review of donor repor with GFP and submission to Sr. Manager Grants & Budgets for the further submission to donor contact.

• Subcontract and Sub grant Management
o Ensures SC Policies and Procedures are followed while developing subcontract/sub grant agreements
• . Operate and maintain updated agency’s systems:
o Timely postings in Contracts and Grants Review System (CGRS)
o Updated information in Award Database System (Award Authorization Database), including: Drafting Award Authorization Database Sheet (AADS), update reporting dates.


Qualifications Requises

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Finance
• Degree in Finance and minimum 3-5 years working experience in related position;
• 2 Years experiences in Grants Management
• Knowledge computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Access;
• Facility to work with computerized systems
• Ability to communicate with non-finance staff Good communication (Creole, French , English);
