Introduction
The Reporting Officer is responsible for the management of activities related to the
International Federation's obligations in reporting its activities under the guidance of the
reporting Team Leader and the reporting Delegates of the IFRC.
Fonctions
Working closely with the Reporting Team Leader and the Reporting Delegates, the
Reporting Officier will ensure/support to them;
2. Provision of timely and accurate reporting outputs to the Secretariat and Movement
stakeholders;
3. Production of the Secretariat's standard reporting documents and reports, including
Appeals, Emergency Appeals and Appeal Revisions;
4. Supporting Plans of Actions and their revisions in turn, as well as logframes when
required; support for all other reports and information documents that may be
required;
5. Monitoring deadlines and ensure that reporting requirements (frequency, quality,
capacity and timeliness) for all running activities have been planned and agreed
upon;
6. Maintenance of an effective and constructive relationship with colleagues from the
Country Office, Haitian Red Cross and Partner National Society (PNS);
7. The Reporting Officer will remain informed on activities and developments related to
the Federation mandate in order to communicate an accurate description of the
Movement's actions and needs in Haiti for internal and external documents;
8. Travel throughout the operational area will be required to have an overview of the ongoing
operations, new developments, achievements and constraints
Qualifications Requises
Knowledge of the humanitarian work.
• Relevant university degree
At least 2 years working knowledge on reporting;
• At least 2 years' experience in project design, management, monitoring and
reporting;
• Familiarity with currents standards and guidelines for humanitarian emergency
response - in particular Sphere;
• Collaborative work experience in a high-activity team environment preferred;
Good knowledge of the Windows (XP/Vista/7) Operating System and the full
Microsoft Office suite;
• Knowledge and daily use of computer software applications;
• Contribution to a work team within a framework of established policies and
procedures;
• High level of flexibility, adaptability and patience in a fast-paced working
environment;
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, patience and maturity;
• Excellent English-language copywriting and editing;
LANGUAGES
Fluent in English, French and Creole;
