World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. Then. to help disability children in the com munities, World Vision is looking for good candidates to fill the position of Montessori Specialist Training.

The Montessori Specialist Training will work to provide Montessori training, support, and ongoing consultation to 3 schools working with children with disabilities- Institute Montfort, CES and St. Vincent.This position will be based at the Response Office with many displacements around Port-au-prince.

• Have a Background in science of the Education
• Have a strong commitment to the Montessori philosophy, curriculum and pedagogy.
• Personal qualities and philosophy/pedagogy consistent with Montessori educational approach, professional demeanor, and good communication skills
• Candidates must have teaching credentials and background in Montessori education. Candidates with AMI or AMS training preferred.
• Computer literacy, fluency in English, French and Creole.

To be able to achieve the following mains responsibilities:

• Work with School Directors and teachers to develop a successful Montessori program for their Early Childhood Development program
• Train teachers in the Montessori Method and Philosophy by developing Montessori Training Materials and Modules
• Aid teachers in Establishing the Montessori Classroom layout
• Provide (4) Weekend Seminars in Montessori Philosophy as part of Continuing Education for teachers
