Program: Catholic Sisters’ Haiti Collaborative for Community Empowerment
Location: Remote: Project sites in Cap-Haitien, Jacmel, Petion-Ville, La Gonâve Island, Gros Morne, Santo, Poteau, Quanaminthe, Gonaives

Reports to: Steering Committee of the Collaborative

Introduction: The Catholic Sisters Haïti Collaborative for Community Empowerment (the Collaborative) was established in 2021 with the vision to strengthen interrelated programming conducted by member congregations and their partner organizations, and to build a network for shared learning, coalition building, and joint advocacy. The Collaborative is comprised of comprises eight religious congregations who have Sisters ministering in Haiti. The goal of this project is to partner with Haitian communities in efforts to transform the conditions that impoverish people, with four specific objectives:
1) Improve access to and quality of education and healthcare in rural Haitian communities.
2) Improve the livelihoods and food security of families living in extreme property.
3) Equip and mobilize communities to ensure that children experience their full rights, including the right to a family and to live in security.
4) Build capacity, networking, and joint advocacy among member organizations of the Collaborative.

General Job Description: The Project Manager is responsible for working closely with all partner ministries by assisting in delivery of all program results on time, on budget and to high standards and of quality. This will include coordination with projects to assist in the on-time execution of work plans, appropriate budget management and financial accounting and reporting, as well as monitoring and evaluation of projects to measure success and progress on outcome indicators. The Project Manager is responsible for preparing all needed reports for ministry partners, fiscal agent and donors.

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge and understanding of successful programs to engage local Haitians and the communities in which they live. The successful candidate will understand general grant management regulations and have proven program management skills including planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, financial management and capacity building.


Fonctions

Program management, including reports, capacity building, and fiscal oversight
1. Collaborate and work closely with the eight Congregations of the Collaborative to successfully implement all project deliverables, ensuring the implementation of high-quality programming within budget and time limits;
2. Work closely with any additional staff or consultants, which may be hired by the Collaborative as needed, to ensure appropriate financial, monitoring and evaluation, and administrative support in accordance with policies and procedures established by the Collaborative and in compliance with donor guidelines;
3. Provide the Steering Committee of the Collaborative with written and oral progress reports, highlighting achievements and troubleshooting challenges;
4. Review and compile individual project reports, including data, and prepare fiscal agent and donor reports according to grant requirements, providing comprehensive, compelling reports on project achievements and challenges and accompanying measurable achievements;

5. Work closely with Collaborative partners to collect stories and photos on their specific projects;
6. Provide ongoing technical support and coaching/capacity building as needed to the various project staff; and conduct training on donor compliance requirements, including finance and appropriate documentation procedures;
7. Work with Collaborative partners to identify and facilitate capacity building opportunities for members;
8. Become familiar with each of the projects of Collaborative members, in order to ensure that effective monitoring and evaluation systems and tools are in place to collect relevant data and to support projects to compile and analyze data within and across different ministries/projects with similar objectives;
9. Assist Collaborative members in remaining on track with M&E activities according to individual plans, and work with members to trouble-shoot/problem-solve when issues arise;
10. Perform other tasks and activities at the request of the Steering Committee of the Collaborative.


Qualifications Requises

• Native Haitian, living in Haiti or maintaining contact with his/her country, is preferred;
• Knowledgeable of Haitian cultural heritage, practices, norms, and the current situation;
• Bachelor's degree or higher in related field;
• At least 3 years of senior-level work experience in project/program management;
• Previous experience managing and/or implementing large programs with multiple partners;
• Fluent Haitian Creole and English communication, strong oral and written required in both; additional French language skills preferred;
• Preferred experience working for/with religious communities, faith-based or mission-driven organizations;
• Strong writing skills and the ability to write quality donor reports, updates, and success stories;
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, creative approach to problem solving;
• Proven project management skills including budget, activity, and data management;
• Experience liaising with donors, partners and other agencies;
• Strong listening and communication skills that adapt to all levels of the community and society, and that foster positive relationships and partnerships.
• Technologically sophisticated, with proficiency in internet-based meeting platforms such as Zoom, collaboration tools, Google drive, and applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel;
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of the Collaborative and changing environment in Haiti.


Conditions de travail

Duration of Contract: Contract After a 3-month probation, 1-year contract with possible renewal
Type of Contract: 20-30 hours per week, possibility of full time
Start Date: June 16, 2025
