Introduction

This position is responsible for the management of construction projects at multiple, geographically dispersed locations and will consist of repair, renovation, for exterior and interior general construction type projects.


Fonctions

• Attend site visits as needed to evaluate on-site conditions.
• Develop Scope of Work (if not provided by the client).
• Formulate, submit, track and distribute RFI’s.
• When required, work with design firms to develop drawings and design packages.
• Estimate and price the entirety of the project. Perform material quantity take-offs, establish labor rates and man-hours, and determine logistical requirements and associated costs along with any other necessary project pricing. Will work closely with Operations Manager and technical staff during this process.
• Write technical narratives about the work required.
• Identify potential subcontractors, create and distribute bid packages, evaluate capability, negotiate pricing and terms, and work with Buisness Manager to execute subcontracts.
• Develop and update construction schedules from pre-proposal to completion of the projects. Communicate schedules to field staff and Government counterparts.
• Develop and maintain submittal registers. Responsible for ensuring the timely completion and approval of project submittals.
• Coordinate and communicate with the Government on a weekly basis and to report status and to make any necessary notifications of impacts to the projects.
• Assist the Business Manager in the preparation and submission of monthly project invoices to the Government.
• Attend and/or lead team meetings and discussions.
• Maintain close coordination and communication with Olgoonik Operations Manager to report project status and to work through issues as needed. Work with Accounting, Payroll, HR, IT, Security, etc. as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervisory responsibilities associated with this position may include supervision of professional, technical, clerical, and/or labor staff in support of the projects.


Qualifications Requises

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
• At least three years of proven experience in similar position.
• Proven experience in project management, with a strong track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software.
