We are seeking a skilled and experienced Haitian National Lead Engineer to manage a team of engineers and oversee assessments, reviews, and project oversight for construction and refurbishment projects. This role focuses on providing technical expertise, developing BOQs, conducting assessments, and supervising subcontractors, rather than performing hands-on construction. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership abilities, a solid understanding of construction laws and associated regulations in Haiti, and the capability to deliver high-quality assessments, designs, and oversight.

• Team Management:
o Lead and supervise a team of engineers to ensure project deliverables are met.
o Provide mentorship and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Project Oversight:
o Conduct and review technical assessments for construction and refurbishment projects.
o Develop detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for subcontracted work.
o Oversee and ensure the quality and compliance of work performed by subcontractors.
• Technical Expertise:
o Provide subject matter expertise in construction, refurbishment, electrical systems, and structural integrity.
o Ensure compliance with Haitian construction laws, codes, and regulations.
o Prepare designs and drawings when necessary to support project assessments and requirements.
• Assessment and Design Review:
o Review and approve engineering assessments, designs, specifications, and calculations.
o Ensure all assessments and plans meet project requirements and are technically sound.
• Coordination and Communication:
o Collaborate effectively with subcontractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
o Act as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries and project progress.
• Quality Assurance:
o Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards are upheld in all project assessments and subcontracted work.
• Risk Management:
o Identify potential risks in project execution and develop mitigation strategies.
• Reporting:
o Provide regular updates on project progress, assessments, and subcontractor performance to management.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in construction and refurbishment projects, including leadership roles.
• Technical Knowledge:
o Expertise in construction, refurbishment, electrical systems, and structural principles.
o Strong understanding of Haitian construction laws, codes, and regulations.
o Ability to produce technical drawings and designs when necessary.
