The Maintenance Manager for Facilities and Biomedical is responsible for overseeing all aspects of
facilities maintenance operations and long-term planning across the ZL network. Key areas of focus include
maintenance planning and budgeting, preventative maintenance, equipment and facility repairs, and team
management. This role requires individuals who are committed to the mission and values of ZL and PIH,
with a dedication to high standards in healthcare infrastructure.
Fonctions
Facilities Management:
Oversee hospital and health center maintenance teams across all sites to ensure continuous
functionality.
Support site maintenance leads in developing comprehensive facility and equipment maintenance
plans.
Oversee the implementation and use of the computerized maintenance management system
(CMMS) for asset management and preventative maintenance scheduling.
Develop and manage systems for tracking spare parts, routine maintenance, generator servicing,
and oxygen plant maintenance.
Conduct training sessions and supervisory visits to all network sites.
Ensure the functionality of essential infrastructure (e.g., power supply, oxygen supply, water
distribution, carpentry, masonry).
Maintain uninterrupted power supply at all sites, utilizing sources such as generators, solar panels,
and utility power.
Collaborate with the PIH US facilities team on equipment maintenance strategies, replacement
plans, and training programs.
Coordinate with hospital administration, construction team leads, and senior leadership for
efficient space planning and alignment with clinical and operational priorities.
Biomedical Mangement Equipment:
Supervise and support the biomedical engineering team leads to establish preventive maintenance systems
that minimize equipment downtime.
Ensure that tools, spare parts, and consumables are available for biomedical maintenance activities.
Coordinate with PIH US facilities and biomedical teams for equipment growth strategy, replacement plans,
and end-user training programs.
Human Resource Management
Oversee the facilities maintenance, generator, and biomedical teams.
Develop a strong and effective infrastructure department through long-term planning and
capacity building.
Ensure all infrastructure teams adhere to PIH procurement and operations policies.
Budget Management and Grant Support
Collaborate with Operations and Finance teams to develop an annual budget for infrastructure
activities.
Conduct regular budget projections, understanding and accounting for programmatic risks.
Review monthly costs and budget projections with infrastructure budget managers and
operations teams.
Provide support to grant and fundraising teams in developing project scopes, budgets, and
schedules for grant proposals.
Team Leadership
? Identify and implement new ideas, technologies, and process improvements to enhance
organizational efficiency and cost savings.
Lead the infrastructure team by example, fostering a collaborative environment and guiding team
members towards common goals.
Qualifications Requises
Technical Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, facilities management, or a related
field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance or equipment repair.
Experience managing multiple sites or large, multi-building campuses is strongly preferred.
Healthcare setting experience is preferred.
Familiarity with low-resource environments.
Proven track record in meeting budgetary and scheduling goals with high-quality standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
