Introduction

Reporting to the Program Director, the incumbent will be responsible for leading the overall clinical strategy and activities fo a faith-based HIV prevention, care and treatment project in Haiti to a network of faith-based hospitals. The Lead Clinical Coordinator will work with the project team, sub-grant partners to identify and address faith-based facility-level and geographic departmental capacity gaps in HIV clinical capacity. S/he will draft and direct clinical work plans for long and short-term staff, and provide strategic guidance on clinical capacity building to network faith-based affiliated sites and their satellite sites. Along with additional key- and non- key personnel, S/he will provide onsite mentoring and skills-building initiatives at both site and departmental levels on HIV clinical issues. The Lead Clinical Coordinator will report to the Project Director on the progress of clinical issues and help strategically plan long-term objectives and directives.


Fonctions

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

With the clinical team:
o
assess and improve existing faith-based site clinical practices

Work with projects sites to implement national guidelines on HIV prevention, care and treatment

Provide oversight of project clinical outcomes and share with the donor

Integrate HIV clinical activities and best practices into wider health systems strengthening and strategic objectives at faith-based affiliated sites.

Prepare detailed work plans and execute on statements of work related to clinical activities

Develop innovative clinical and operating procedures and implement methodologies

Liaise and manage relationships with clients/ donors, government officials, and public and private sector organizations; serve as project clinical representative on working groups

Participate in assessments, trainings, and workshops for in-country audiences (faith-based and MSPP)

Build capacity of local partners to improve program clinical perfomance and service delivery

Empower partners to gain increasing autonomy in executing clinical activities

Other duties, as may be assigned by the Project Director or Designee.
The incumbent will be responsible for abiding by security policies, administrative instructions, plans and procedures of CMMB.


Qualifications Requises

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Computer literacy in Microsoft packages (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Point) and Gsuite, and other relevant software is an asset.

Excellent writing and data analytical skills.

Clinical qualification MD necessary. Adcanced degree in Public Health preferred

5+ years of applied skills in designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating activities for HIV related programs

At least three years clinically- linked experienced with HIV prevention, care and treatment

Experience in managing similar programs and providing technical advising

Demonstrated skill in monitoring and evaluation of HIV clinical programs

Prior experience supervising clinical efforts for complex programs

Experience working on USG and/or other donor- funded HIV projects/programs

Exceptional problem solving, analytical and interpesonal skills required

Must demonstrate exceptional written, organizational and oral communication skills in English for reporting on program and study results and have skills in training local staff

Demonstrated analytical skills and experience to identify and evaluate best practices and state-of-the-art clinical approaches to be utilized by the project

Consistent ability to meet deadlines

Language Requirement

Fluency in both written and spoken English, French and Haitian Creole is essential.
