On August 18, 2022, USAID/Haiti awarded IBI a four-year contract for the Evaluation and Survey Services Plus (ESS+) Activity. This activity is to provide technical support for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) services for USAID/Haiti to ensure empirical evidence for programming, learning, and adapting.
IBI is currently looking for a qualified Haitian national to serve as an Accounting and Administration Assistant for the ESS+ Activity. The Accounting and Administration Assistant will be responsible for a range of activities, including arranging travel for visiting or traveling team members, dispersing payments for project activities, tracking expenses, and providing support to the Finance Manager. This employee will also support accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting policies, IBI’s corporate accounting policies, and USAID financial regulations, guidelines, and reporting requirements.
Fonctions
· Arrange travel, including transportation, lodging, visas, and other necessary preparations for visiting staff and traveling team members.
· Support the FAM in management of the project’s financial operations, including accounting and reporting, management, and budget management.
· Ensure all monthly transactions are entered in active accounting software (either Quickbooks or Deltek Costpoint) accurately and on timely basis.
· Organize and maintain comprehensive financial files and ensure that all financial record retention is compliant with legal and donor agency requirements.
· Process and disperse payments for procurements, vendor invoices, and consultant agreements.
· Analyze and reconcile the bank account to the accounting system, following up on items as needed.
· Assist in overall management and inventory recording of all government funded property.
· Ensure complete and accurate documentation of all procurements in support of more efficient and effective financial management.
· Assist with logistics and set-up official meetings and appointments with USAID, other donors, government agencies, and implementing partners
· Other financial and administrative tasks as required and assigned by PMU, Home Office Finance Team, or the FAM.
Qualifications Requises
· Holds Haitian citizenship, lives in-country
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
· A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting areas; and a minimum of 2 years’ experience working on administrative and finance areas on a USAID-funded project.???
· Familiarity with USG financial reporting and compliance requirements.
· Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
· Fluency in French and English is required.
· Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
· Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
