The mission of 1000 Jobs Haiti, Inc. is to create decent and sustainable jobs to allow a better living standard for the population of Haiti. 1000 Jobs is working with different partners in introducing Data services in Haiti through a project call “ICT Training and livelihoods development – Mirebalais (Haiti)”. 1000 Jobs/Haiti seeks to fulfill digital services work identified by its partners from Technology companies in the US including but not limited to translation, transcription, digitization, and crowdsourcing work. In this context, 1000 Jobs Haiti, Inc. needs the services of an IT Manager to manage the ICT Center in Mirebalais. Under the supervision of the Director, the IT Manager will be responsible of supervision of all the activities on a daily basis.

The IT Manager will accomplish the following tasks:

- Responsible of the computer lab for the ICT project in Mirebalais and insure that the equipments are working properly to meet the targeted objectives of our partners;
- Help the workers in finding accuracy in the execution of the tasks provided by the partners (translation, transcription, digitization, etc.);
- Responsible for Bandwidth Shaping, Site blocking, Virus protection, and updating;
- Maintain constant communication with our partners for new tasks, clarification, pricing, management practices, etc.
- Report all irregularities if any related to the jobs of the workers;
- Manage the equipments and be the focal point for the project;
- Keep an up to date inventory of the materials and equipments of the project;
- Execute all other tasks that can foster the success of the project.

The IT Manager should have the skills below among others:

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from a well known University or Equivalent;
- 2 years of work experience in the related field preferably in a supervision role;
- Management skills (some business administration experience or studies);
- Advanced level of English (Fluent) with ability to speak and write in English;
- Leadership skills to lead, train, and explain new tasks to the group when needed;
- Ability to work independently;
- Strong computer maintenance skills particularly in fixing laptops, install antivirus, spyware, adware;
- Good knowledge of the MS-Office software, web browser (internet explorer and Firefox), e-mail, and others;
- Excellent French and Creole skills (required)
- Capacity to work with tough schedule and meet deadline while dealing with emergency;
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills;
- Capacity to work with a team.

Priority will be given to Mirebalais resident.
