Job Brief:

The Financial Controller is responsible for financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and internal control. The Financial Controller will be responsible for financial reporting to management and the board of directors, as well as compliance with government regulations.

The main role of the Financial Controller is to ensure the company's financial health by overseeing all financial planning and analysis activities.

He reports to the Executive Management.


Fonctions

Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
- Tracking, reporting, and analyzing budget variances.
- Reviewing the company's financial statements to ensure they are accurate.
- Preparing month-end reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Recommending changes in policies or procedures that will improve financial performance.
- Forecasting future financial performance.
- Preparing and analyzing budgets.
- Providing accurate financial reports to management.
- Ensuring compliance with government regulations.
- Ensuring accuracy of financial statements.
- Overseeing all financial planning and analysis.

Other responsibilities:
- The Financial Controller collaborates with managers to develop budgets for the business, usually on a monthly or quarterly basis. They monitor actual performance versus budget and report variances to management.
- The Financial Controller also works closely with managers across all departments, as well as external parties such as vendors and customers.
- Developing financial models and cash flow projections is another part of this process. The Financial Controller may analyse results from these models to make recommendations for future activities such as marketing campaigns, and new product launches.
- They may also be involved with mergers and acquisitions, which requires an understanding of complex accounting issues such as purchase price allocations.
- The Financial Controller works within the general framework of a company's overall accounting and reporting system and makes sure that all relevant information is available for management use in running the business.


Qualifications Requises

Requirements and skills
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree and +10 years of professional experience in Business Administration/Financial Management or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA, ACCA preferred.
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
- Advanced degree in accounting.
- Able to communicate clearly and precisely in written and spoken English.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
