Introduction

The Catholic Sisters Haïti Collaborative for Community Empowerment (the Collaborative) was established in 2021 with the vision to strengthen interrelated programming conducted by member congregations and their partner organizations, and to build a network for shared learning, coalition building, and joint advocacy. The Collaborative comprises six religious congregations who have Sisters ministering in Haiti, including: Congregation of the Sisters of St. Felix of Cantalice (CSSF), Sisters of Holy Cross/Congregation Sainte Croix (CSC), Religious of Jesus and Mary (RJM), Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth of New Jersey (SCNJ), School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND), and Sisters of Mercy/Mercy Focus on Haiti (SMA/MFOH).

The goal of this project is to partner with Haitian communities in efforts to transform the conditions that impoverish people, with four specific objectives:

1) Improve access to and quality of education and healthcare in rural Haitian communities.
2) Improve the livelihoods and food security of families living in extreme property.
3) Equip and mobilize communities to ensure that children experience their full rights, including the right to a family and to live in security.
4) Build capacity, networking, and joint advocacy among member organizations of the Collaborative


Fonctions

General Job Description: The Project Manager is responsible for working closely with all partner ministries to ensure delivery of all program results on time, on budget and to high standards and quality. This will include coordination with projects to ensure on-time execution of work plans, appropriate budget management and financial accounting and reporting, as well as monitoring and evaluation of projects to measure reach and progress on outcome indicators. The Project Manager is responsible for preparing all needed reports for ministry partners, fiscal agent and donors.

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge and understanding of successful programs to engage Haitian women, youth, and communities. The successful candidate will understand general grant management regulations and have proven excellent program management skills including planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, financial management and capacity building.

Principle Responsibilities:
Program management and reports, capacity building, fiscal oversight
1. Collaborate and work closely with the six Congregations of the Collaborative to successfully implement all project deliverables, ensuring the implementation of high-quality programming within budget and time limits.
2. Work with a professional staff/consultants to ensure appropriate financial, communication, monitoring and evaluation, and administrative support.
3. Provide the Steering Committee of the Collaborative and the Sisters of Holy Cross with written and oral progress reports, highlighting achievements and troubleshooting challenges.
4. Review and compile individual project reports, and prepare fiscal agent and donor reports according to grant requirements, providing comprehensive, compelling reports on project achievements.
5. Provide ongoing technical support and coaching/capacity building as needed to the various project staff; and conduct training on donor compliance requirements, including finance and appropriate documentation procedures.
6. Work closely with the financial assistant/consultant to ensure accurate financial records in accordance with policies and procedures established by the Collaborative, and in compliance with donor guidelines.
7. Work closely with a part-time communications assistant/consultant and oversee their planning and implementation of comprehensive and cost-effective project visibility and communication strategies.
8. Coordinate with each project of the Collaborative to ensure ongoing, timely internal monitoring and evaluation of projects, working to ensure that effective monitoring and evaluation systems are in place to collect relevant data; support projects to compile and analyze data within and across different ministries/projects with similar objectives.
9. Lead on procurements for administrative needs
10. Work closely with an external consultant who will conduct an external project evaluation
11. Represent the project in various contexts.
12. Perform other tasks and activities at the request of the Steering Committee and the Sisters of Holy Cross.


Qualifications Requises

Required Qualifications/Candidate Profile
? Bachelor's degree or higher in a discipline of social sciences or international development or related field
? At least 3 years of senior-level work experience in project/program management
? Previous experience managing and/or implementing large programs with multiple partners
? Excellent Haitian Creole and English communication, both oral and written required; additional French language skills preferred
? Experience working with grassroots economic development programs and child protection programs
? Proven track record and commitment to sustainable development in Haiti
? Strong writing skills and the ability to write quality donor reports, updates, and success stories
? Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, creative approach to problem solving
? Proven project management skills including budget, activity, and data management
? Experience liaising with donors, partners and other agencies, contractors, suppliers, and government officials
? Strong listening and communication skills that adapt to all levels of the community and society, and that foster positive relationships and partnerships
? Strong workshop planning and facilitation skills
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large cross-cultural teams comprising various industry specialists
? Willingness to visit remote project sites and adapt to basic travel and living conditions
? Flexibility to adapt to changing needs
