Introduction
HELP is a dynamic and growing organization that currently manages 50 staff members working in Haiti and the US and supporting 150 university students in Haiti. To support HELP’s capacity to grow to take on larger strategic partnerships and capital projects, it sees an experienced Finance Director who will assure that HELPs financial structures are well managed and can adapt to this growth. Finance Director reports to the Director of Operations and is the line-manager for accounting staff. S/he has primary responsibility for overseeing budgeting, expenditures, financial compliance and reporting for the entire institution. It is vital that the Finance Director can work across department and with all HELP stakeholders (staff, students, donors, Board Members and senior management) to effectively communicate, collaborate and educate to assure strong management of HELP resources and an overall understanding and engagement in fiscal responsibility at all levels. HELP has had more than 10 consecutive years of CPA audits without a single finding. The Director would be expected to continue this level of performance.
