The Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, transportation, and supply chain processes. Logistic manager will typically supervise the logistic staff.
Fonctions
• Manage inventory as well as warehouse, transportation, and other logistics processes
• Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost
• Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met
• Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements
• Partner and communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers
• Manage and develop logistics staff
• Create and manage budgets
• Responsible for building the strategic delivery model that will effectively cover the company’s current and projected markets
• Collaborate with product team to drive system and operational improvements that will improve delivery efficiencies and result in lower cost per delivery goals in each market,
• Responsible for putting together and leading third-party partnerships to augment internal logistics capacity to handle surges production capacity, sales, or demand.
• Responsible for directing, training, and workforce management for the logistics department or organization
• Coordinate with the dispatcher the deliveries scheduled for the day 1 day in advance and in the morning ensure that the path for the delivery is not blocked by barricades or demonstrations;
• Ensure that trucks and tires are in good mechanical condition and that insurance is in place up-to-date before deliveries;
• Assign vehicles, manage their use and follow up on everything related to vehicles;
• Prepare and maintain up-to-date fleet inventories (including service dates, insurance, plates);
• Manage the company's fleet of vehicles (trucks, motorcycles, chassis, private cars, etc.) including travel (follow the GPS system from the time of departure until its arrival at the customer or at the depots), maintenance services, repairs, fuel supply, accident reports (police and OAVCT report), vehicle insurance papers (OAVCT and private insurance must be up to date), as well as the management of rental vehicles with their appropriate insurance coverage;
• Supervise the daily operation of the drivers (trucks and motorcycles) of the
• company and ensure that operational procedures are respected by all drivers (times of departures and returns);
• Ensure that the waybills are completed correctly by the drivers;
• Ensure the validity of drivers' driving licenses;
• Provide general support to the Garage department;
• Maintain regular contact with other managers to review needs and practices of logistics;
• Maintain close collaboration with the Sales, Operations and Security ;
• Perform any other tasks required by the Sales Director and the Executive Director
Qualifications Requises
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics Management, Business Administration, Transportation Management, or Engineering
• 5+ years of experience working in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations
• Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
• Strong team player
• Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
• Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software
