Introduction

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for providing strategic input in the business development process and will manage multiple client projects throughout the activity cycle (kickoff, startup, implementation, close-out). While the SPM manages projects and ensures the firm’s core values are adhered to, this role is equally responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more program units. This position manages project resources, schedules, financials and adheres to SVSA standards and project management guidelines throughout the full development and close out life cycle. A successful SPM verifies that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the design phase. The SPM works with teams to create a planning schedule using the work plan, ensures that team members complete tasks according to the schedule, prepares progress reports for stakeholders and the management board, and researches industry trends and innovations that will increase the performance of project management at SVSA.


Fonctions

Management Tasks:
The SPM will manage Project Managers and provide training on various tools and project management techniques used at SVSA. This includes training on culture, work plans, budgeting, communication, among other tools.
Identify if staff members require further training and provide this training.
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program team.
Conduct onboarding for project team members.
Monitor the performance of project staff and supervise project implementation.
Provide leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
Develop and manage all aspects of project engagement from planning, external relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues.
Lead project management team meetings.
Manage a portfolio of projects that span one or multiple lines of business.
Ensure liaison between Ayiti Nexus’ senior management, consultants and clients.
Work with the firm’s admin staff to identify resources needed for implementation of activity contracts, and plan out procurement timeline.
Ensure contract terms are respected and deliverables are submitted according to deadlines agreed upon with client
Review consultants’ deliverables and ensure they meet quality standards set by management prior to submission
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

Deliverable Quality
Oversees, monitors, and manages the quality of multiple projects and works to identify continuous improvement measures/root cause and corrective actions.
Verifies project deliverables are acceptable, fulfill terms of the team agreements, and are within time and budget.
Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives.
Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders.

Leadership
Responsible for issue resolution, and risk identification and mitigation, while empowering and motivating teams to have a sense of ownership over the project.
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
Identify and develop trusted adviser relationships with project/program stakeholders.
Establish practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.

Reporting
Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature project capabilities.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations to various audiences, including project teams and key stakeholders.
Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project and program life cycle.


Qualifications Requises

1- Prior project management experience required
2- Good knowledge of Haitian development sector
3- Demonstrable strategic thinking skills and experience following through
4- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
5- Experience managing project budgets
6- Knowledge of project management cycle
7- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
8- French, English and Creole fluency are preferred.
9- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
10- BSc/BA in project management, administration or relevant field
