CMMB, the leading faith-based global healthcare NGO, seeks a Pediatrician and VCT/PMTCT Specialist for its ALESIDA project. The overall Pediatrician and VCT/PMTCT Specialist responsibility is to provide technical assistance and leadership in HIV/AIDS pediatric, VCT and PMTCT related fields.
Fonctions
Technical assistance to sites and address recommendations.
• Follow-up on any issue regarding Pediatric ART. Provide temporary relief and/or address service gaps at clinical sites
• Coordinate HIV/AIDS counseling activities along national guidelines for PMTCT and VCT.
• Provide training, assessment and recommendations to cover gaps in VCT/PMTCT
• Gather and analyze data and use data to plan and measure performance for comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and treatment and other related conditions
• Identify, document and share various treatment models and their effectiveness with key lessons learnt on HIV care and treatment and related conditions from local partner treatment facilities
• Integrate evidenced based techniques and strategies such as use of peer reviewed articles and journals into preceptorship activities
• Maintain competence through clinical practice
• Participate in monthly clinical meetings, case conferences, and journal clubs
• Prepare with other team members for timely submission of all required reports, including but not limited to site work plans, trip schedules, travel schedules and trip reports
• Report on implementation of technical assistance activities within the program through compilation of trip reports and other reporting documents
• Monitor clinical staff performance and results at site level and integration.
• Provide temporary relief and/or address service gaps at clinical sites
Qualifications Requises
Licensed MD required with specialization in Pediatrics
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience required
• Minimum of 2 years working in HIV/AIDS care and treatment at the national and/or international level
• Current clinical practice as MD, Pediatrician
• Excellent knowledge of national and World Health Organization guidelines on HIV care and treatment
SKILLS
• Ability to provide written communication in a timely manner and adjusted to various levels of comprehension
• Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point minimally, and working knowledge and use of Statistical packages preferred)
• Ability to spend extended periods of time in the field traveling within and around Haiti approximately 60% of the time
• Must maintain an active national medical license
• Good communication skills.
