I. Mission:
The National Director of health Care HSD (ND) is overseeing all aspects in the hospital management ensuring that it is operating efficiently and effectively while upholding the mission and the vision of the institution: providing quality care with Christian compassion toward a world without poverty. The ND provides the necessary leadership to his/her team of senior administrators and medical leaders to provide quality care to the targeted population while leading to implement strategic initiatives and meeting the business goals of the hospital. He/she is the face of the hospital working closely the NPHI executive director, with the local board of directors and other appointed NPHI board and its committees.

II. Main Responsibilities & Functions
• She/he develops and implements regular strategic plans that meet the objectives of the institution.
• Recruit and develop a team of senior leaders to manage critical business functions.
• Ensure commitment to and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations across the organization and country.
• Create a culture of ethical behavior, transparency and communication throughout the organization.
• Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders and government agencies.
• Proactively address challenges in the internal and external environment to protect business interests.
• Oversee the fundraising function within St. Damien’s, develop, and maintain relationships with key international fundraising offices and their donors and foundations.
Qualifications Requises
• Doctor in Medicine with experience in child and maternal health preferred.
• Preferred Master's degree in hospital administration or business administration or related field (MHA, MHI, MBA).
• Previous experience in a senior leadership role. Preferred “at least” 5 years.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategic plans.
• Deep understanding of financial strategies and finance-related performance metrics, health policy, healthcare law and organizational leadership.
• Strong aptitude for verbal and written communication toward his/her team and NPHI leadership/board, presentation, and relationship development.
• Critical thinking
• In-depth knowledge of best practices in management and governance.
